Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace

People living in Daybreak will be pleased to hear that there will soon be a new shopping center opening sometime in 2014. The development is called Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace and will be located just outside Daybreak, on the southwest corner of Bangerter and 114th.

The development is set to be anchored by Sprouts, which from a personal point of view is a good thing; we have long needed a Whole Foods type market in this area of the valley. Other proposed stores include:

Men’s Warehouse
Corner Bakery
Mattress Firm
Del Taco
Verizon
Free Birds World Burrito
Melty Way
CVS
Popeyes
Togo’s
Papa Murphy’s
Image Interiors

For more information please view the Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace – South Jordan Flyer.

** Updated 8/7/2015 Just downloaded the latest version of the flyer and there are a number of changes. These include a Starbucks, Wendy’s, Cubby’s, Himalayan Kitchen, Potbelly’s, Malawis Pizza, Menchie’s, Planet Fitness, Firehouse Subs (open). Out goes Free Birds, Togo’s, Image Interiors, Verizon, Corner Bakery   **

We want a bookstore!! Barnes and Noble would be nice :)!! Or one like it.. please….

    • Mark Bird says:

That would be nice but I am not sure how viable it would be in the current climate. Companies like Barnes and Noble are just trying to stay afloat, not sure any kind of expansion is on the cards for them at the moment.

  2. Bryan L says:

Just please no more fast food in the area

  3. Wain/Paula Palmer says:

How about a Robintino’s, Black Bear Diner, Neilsen’s Frozen Custard,

  4. Jasmine says:

Homegoods would be a great choice. Especially with the development of new homes in the area and new families.

    • Mark Bird says:

Jasmine I just found an updated plan and it looks like Homegoods is out, and has been replaced by Planet Fitness. There also seems to be other changes including a local restaurant called Cubby’s. Anyway I uploaded the latest plans.

I have also noticed that they have started to prepare the land to the south of the development for building, I am not sure if this is going to be an extension to Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace or something else.

    STARBUCKS!!! Please!!!

    • Mark Bird says:

Good news I just got the latest copy of the plans and it looks like we are getting a Starbucks with a drive through.

  6. MBB says:

So disappointed there isn’t going to be a Home Goods. There are already enough fitness centers and fast food places around here already.

    • Mark Bird says:

I agree, there seems to be a gym/fitness center on every corner, really not sure how they all stay in business.

  7. Devrie Pettit says:

please no more fast food. Or chains readily available! Let’s get some new, local places! Contact Aubergine and Company or unique eateries out of Provo to expand up here!

  8. Michael Herrera says:

    WE NEED WELLS FARGO.

    • Mark Bird says:

Yes I agree. Ever since the financial meltdown the larger banks and regionals seem very reluctant to build new branches. Only the local banks seem to be building. U.S. Bank expansion seems to be limited to locations inside Smiths.
