While reading the local newsletter I noticed that the first major Daybreak social event for the year is scheduled to take place on the 24th March 2014. Given this I thought it would be a good idea to give you an overview of some of the events you can expect to find occurring throughout the year.
Scheduled Events for 2014
Family Fun Night
This will be held at the DCC center on the 24th March between 6pm and 8pm. There will be Pizza for everyone and lots of games and activities for the kids, including the Gamin Ride.
Easter Eggstravaganza
Come join us for an Easter Egg Hunt and welcome the Easter Bunny on the 19th April at the Daybreak Elementary Field at 10am to 11am.
Home and Garden Affair
Daybreaks Home and Garden Affair will take place on the 26th of April from 10am until 2pm at the DCC. Here you can meet local vendors who will talk about home design, DIY and garden projects. There are also some free how too classes, a free lunch and some fun activities for kids.
Selected Events from 2013
This list is based on those events that occurred in 2013, and is meant to provide you will an idea of the type of events you can expect. Because the list is based on last year’s events these may or may not occur this year.
Music Nights
Mid Spring through September – Every Friday and Saturday night a live band performs at Soda Row.
Lady Bug Release
June – Mass lady bug release.
International Festival
August – Dance ensembles from all around the world perform at SoDa Row.
Fizz Fest
September – Daybreak’s big once a year bash featuring lots of fun activities, food trucks and live music.
Cruise Night
Spring through Autumn – On the third Thursday of every month SoDa is visited by a vintage car show.
Movie Nights
Family movie nights held indoors in the DCC in the cooler months and outdoors during summer.
Trick or Treat Street
October – Trick or Treating held by the SoDa row stores. Includes costume contest and fun activities for the young ones.
These are just some of the events that occur each year; I will try and keep you posted of new events as and when they happen.
